Known for his portrayals of parental figures, he has starred in television series andĀ blockbusterĀ films. His accolades include anĀ Actor Award, in addition to nominations for aĀ Golden Globe AwardĀ and fourĀ Primetime Emmy Awards.Ā TimeĀ magazine named him one of theĀ 100 most influential people in the worldĀ in 2023.
After nearly two decades of taking small roles on stage and television, Pascal'sĀ breakout rolesĀ came asĀ Oberyn MartellĀ in theĀ fourth seasonĀ of theĀ HBO fantasy seriesĀ Game of ThronesĀ (2014) and asĀ Javier PeƱaĀ in theĀ NetflixĀ crime seriesĀ Narcos (2015ā2017).
